Building Better Businesses Through Education.

Transform Your Future with Back to School for Entrepreneurs with Professor Reynolds

Hello, and Thank You for Visiting.

I'm Professor Diamond Reynolds, CPA—an Accounting Professor at Wayne State University, Certified Public Accountant, entrepreneur, and founder of Back to School for Entrepreneurs.

I created this educational platform with one purpose in mind:

To help entrepreneurs build better businesses through practical, trustworthy education.

Whether you're launching your first business or leading an established company, my goal is to help you understand the business principles that support long-term success.

I'm honored you're here, and I look forward to being part of your entrepreneurial journey.

Meet Professor Reynolds

My Mission

People often ask how I became both a professor and a Certified Public Accountant.

The truth is, my journey has been shaped by education, faith, and a desire to serve others.

As a freshman in high school, I knew I wanted to become an accountant. While many students are still exploring different career paths, I felt a clear calling toward accounting and committed myself to pursuing that goal.

That journey led me to Wayne State University, where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting.

After graduation, I became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and built my career in public accounting before establishing my own CPA practice and serving entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and businesses.

Years later, an unexpected opportunity changed the direction of my career.

A former professor encouraged me to consider teaching accounting at Wayne State University. At the time, I laughed and thought, "Maybe one day... when I'm old and gray."

Life had other plans.

During the pandemic, I spent more time studying Scripture, reflecting on my purpose, and seeking God's direction. Through that season, I felt led to pursue the teaching opportunity.

The remarkable part is that I didn't go through a traditional interview process. I was simply asked to submit my résumé for their records.

Looking back, I can only describe it as one of the many ways God opened a door I never could have opened on my own.

Today, I have the privilege of teaching accounting at my alma mater while helping entrepreneurs through Back to School for Entrepreneurs.

Why I Created Back to School for Entrepreneurs

Throughout my career, I've met incredibly talented entrepreneurs.

They had vision.

They had determination.

They had exceptional products and services.

What many of them didn't have was access to practical business education.

Too often, business owners are expected to figure out accounting, taxes, pricing, financial statements, and business strategy through trial and error.

I believe there is a better way.

Back to School for Entrepreneurs was created to bridge the gap between entrepreneurship and business education by providing practical, easy-to-understand instruction entrepreneurs can immediately apply to their businesses.

Because informed entrepreneurs make better decisions.

And better decisions build stronger businesses.

My Teaching Philosophy

Whether I'm teaching university students or entrepreneurs, my philosophy is the same.

I believe education should build confidence—not intimidation.

Many students begin accounting believing it's one of the most difficult subjects they'll ever take.

One of the first things I tell my students is:

"Accounting is not hard. If you can add, subtract, multiply, and divide, you can learn accounting."

That simple reminder changes how many students approach learning.

I believe the best educators make complex ideas understandable without compromising accuracy.

My goal isn't simply to teach information.

My goal is to help people understand it.

Beyond the Classroom

Education is only one part of my commitment to serving others.

I am also the founder of I Like Me, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth and strengthening communities through mentorship, educational initiatives, and community outreach.

Whether I'm teaching in a university classroom, speaking to entrepreneurs, or serving the community, my purpose remains the same:

Whether we meet through one course or your entire educational journey, I hope you'll leave with knowledge that strengthens both your business and your future.

A Personal Invitation

When I envisioned Back to School for Entrepreneurs, I wasn't simply creating another online course.

I wanted to build an educational platform where entrepreneurs could gain practical knowledge, make informed business decisions, and continue learning throughout every stage of their journey.

As a member of the Charter Class of 2026, you won't simply be one of my first students.

What I Hope Every Student Learns

"I hope every student leaves this school with more than business knowledge. I hope they leave with greater confidence, a stronger understanding of their business, and the belief that learning is one of the greatest investments they can make. My goal has never been simply to teach accounting. My goal is to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions, build stronger businesses, and create lasting impact in their communities." - Professor Diamond Reynolds, CPA
